In honor of Thanksgiving, we at Balanced Fitness and Health wanted to say “thank you” to all of you for reading our blog, coming to visit, sharing our vision, and for just being you. We are truly blessed with many wonderful clients who help us to learn and grow every day, which makes our job truly enjoyable.
“May we learn to be thankful in all things for this is your will for us.”

While reflecting on this verse recently, I admit, it has been hard to accept at times. But over the course of many challenges, I have learned that it is when we are in the trenches that we grow the most. We learn what it takes to get us through, and inevitably we come out on the other side, stronger and better than we were before.
Rather than dwelling on the unfortunate circumstance I find myself in from time to time, I try to be thankful for where I am in the moment. Initially, that can be difficult, but I eventually start to see things improve. I learn from the circumstance and feel wiser as a result.
So, my challenge to you this November is to be thankful each and every day for the good, the bad and the ugly.
Be thankful for the sunshine, the fall colors, even for the early darkness. While it makes us all sleepy earlier, it gives us an excuse to go to bed earlier, and we can all use more sleep!
Be thankful that you made it through the most miserable day and be thankful for the greatest day.
Be thankful you spilled that coffee on your shirt just before heading out the door, because clearly you were meant to wear something else that day!
Be thankful for the good family and friends in your life and be thankful for the ones who challenge us to be more kind and patient.
Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to slow down and reflect on all we have to be thankful for, I pray each of you will find that in your hearts today and every day.
